Why You Should be a Part of 1MW
Fostering Design-Oriented Leadership:
1MW or 1 Million Women in Design is an initiative by the UMO Design Foundation. It is part of the foundation’s mission to provide the right design education for everyone and instill design awareness among professionals and students. To ensure this, UMO Design has introduced a number of programs through which women interested in learning design can hone their skills and become a part of this community.
Rich Design Community Participation:
1MW will serve as a channel where members actively follow and practice design principles. The platform will amplify female voice in design and work culture by highlighting them to a greater audience comprising of all members irrespective of gender, location, job profile or social status.
Be an Authority and Voice in Design:
As an authority in design, you will actively promote design education. While 1MW may be UMO’s initiative, it will be the community that will take it forward towards its goals.
Accelerate UMO’s 1 Million Female Designers Mission:
Accelerate UMO’s mission to provide the right design education to 1 million girls by becoming a mentor or coach at 1MW. Your expertise can play a crucial role in preparing the next generation of design professionals faster.
